Types of speeches

Types of speeches sections goes deeper into the speech skills and show how many different types of public speaking forms are available for you, and how they differ one from another. Do you want to motivate your audience, be a politician, entertain others? Just choose the form you like.

Resources and tools

After having this introduction, the next section, Resources and tools is there to give you specific advice, what to do and what not to do when preparing for the public speech. We checked for and gathered some external useful sources and tools in English and other languages (like Swedish, Greek, Bulgarian, Italian, Lithuanian and Polish).

Library of speeches

Learning on the examples is usually the best way. For this reason, we created the Library of speeches, where you can find the best speeches of all times, from the ancient Greek philosophers to contemporary politicians, activists and celebrities, again, in several languages. (Wait a second to load the page – so many videos make it a bit slower at the beginning)

Speech prompts

On the basis of our experience from working with all those materials, we learned some precious tips on what aspects are important for the main kinds of speeches, which we are sharing with you in the section called Speech prompts.

Your toolbox

Finally, we have also some practical tools. If you feel prepared for becoming a successful speaker, you can use our toolbox, where you can record, edit and listen to your speeches. For this you need to:

  • log in (or register first, if you haven’t done it earlier)
  • go to Your toolbox to record and edit the speech
  • Enable microphone for the app/browser

The speeches are stored to our servers until you delete them or no longer than 1 year.

In order to delete the speech, you need to:

  • go to Your audios
  • from the options on the top of the page choose delete
  • pick the audio to be deleted and click Delete permanently

Speech evaluation

We understand that you may not be fully convinced, if your speech is ready to perform in front of the audience or not. But also in this case we are here to help you. Use our speech self-checking table and find out, how many “yeses” you get!

Good luck!
