Malala Yousafzai gave a speech to the United Nations. It was her first public speech after being shot in the head by the Taliban in her native country of Pakistan the previous October. In her speech, Malala says she doesn’t hate the Taliban who shot her. She says she is speaking for “the right of education of every child,” and even education for the “sons and daughters of all extremists.” Malala says that there is only one solution to poverty, ignorance, racism, and injustice. “Education is the only solution. Education First.”
